Voice Acting and Demo Creation Class -- (STARTS NOVEMBER 09, 2009)

Learn the skills needed to become a voice actor.  Gain access to scripts covering a wide variety of commercials, cartoons, animated films, audio books and more.  Rehearse, perform and record a range of material each week as you narrow down selections for the creation of your own professional voice demo recording.  You will learn script and character analysis and how to apply your voice accordingly.  You will create a range of vocal characters to showcase your abilities.  All demo materials will be provided and the scripts will be chosen to showcase your own engaging vocal qualities.  Upon completion of this class, you will have a high quality, personalized demo essential for finding work.

You will gain industry know-how to help you land an agent, convince your current agent to submit you in new ways, or to help you find work on your own! We will discuss resumes, cover letters and how to make contact with casting directors, audio production companies and more. 

Recording Sessions:  All Demos are professionally recorded at Orville Heyn’s OH-Spot Studios.  The studio is professionally equipped, and ready to assist your projects ‘on the spot’.  Clients can record at Orville’s comfortable in-house studio, or on location.  Orville Heyn is professional, fast and dedicated to exceptional quality.  Corporate clients include one of the top 5 banks in Canada. Feature films like Paramount Pictures’, The Love Guru and television shows on YTV and Slice Network have also recorded at OH-Spot Studios.

CLASSES MEET : MONDAY EVENINGS.  6:00pm - 9:00pm. 

FALL 2009 (7 SESSIONS) -
  November 9, 16, 23, 30, December 7, 14, plus final recording sessions booked individually. 

LOCATION: East Toronto, close to Woodbine Subway.

FEE: $450.00 (includes 6 classes, scripts, weekly recordings to review your work, final recording session and a Professional Voice Demo.)
